Melanie Crawley

Melanie is an award-winning experienced voice actor and trained actor with a grown-up, honest, compassionate and down-to-earth kind of voice, only a half step away from either comedic or dark and gritty. There’s a basic kindness and a hard-wearing, well-constructed quality to her voice and she is at home conveying the drama, energy and joy in a narrative without losing that subtlety or emotion that makes it unique.
 Her specialisms are narration for audiobooks and other long-form narration, audio and radio drama & comedy and commercial reads for radio. She also works as a VO for corporate projects and overdubbing for film and TV. She studied Drama to degree level, graduating in the early 90s but didn’t act professionally until 2015. She now works mainly on stage, for commercials and with her voice. Melanie also performs in radio sketch comedy and drama and won the VOX (voice industry award) for ‘Best use of Humour’ 2022.
